2019 – ongoing

Pushing Embroidery is an ongoing project aimed at exploring embroidery as a sculptural technique. Pushing Embroidery has been exhibited at K. A. Almgrens Sidenväveri, Nemeshallen, and Nääs Konsthantverk.

In 2020, Pushing Embroidery was awarded the Young Swedish Design Award, with the judge’s comments:

“Craftsmanship in copious amounts, and above all a type of embroidery we have not seen before. The materials are beautiful, the forms anthropomorphic and the method itself brand new, with gravity as the designer: it’s the law of gravity that creates the shape, when the work collapses.”
